Patmos Island

Often called the 'Jerusalem of the Aegean,' Patmos is a captivating island that combines rich spiritual history, charming architecture, and stunning natural landscapes.
The Cave of the Apocalypse and the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian are two of the most significant spiritual landmarks on Patmos. The cave, where Saint John is believed to have received the visions for the Book of Revelation, is a sacred site attracting pilgrims from around the world. Just a short distance away, the 11th-century Monastery of Saint John, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stands as a testament to Byzantine architecture and religious history. Together, these sites offer a profound experience of Patmos’s rich spiritual heritage.
